Reaves was born in Birmingham, Alabama and later moved to Raleigh, North Carolina where he spent most of his childhood years. While attending the College of Management at NC State University in Raleigh, Reaves joined Guardian Capital Advisors, LLC as an intern. After graduating cum-laude with a concentration in Finance and a minor in Accounting, Reaves now serves as a Registered Sales Assistant with GCA. His primary responsibilities include trading, fund research and portfolio analysis.

Reaves is Securities licensed and devotes numerous hours towards his financial certification studies. He is a candidate in the CFA program and is currently studying for his Level 1 CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) exam. Through his continuing education goals, Reaves strives to be an integral part of the future success of GCA in bringing quality services to all of its many clients.

When not studying for financial certifications, Reaves enjoys playing the drums in a local band and watching Alabama and NC State football.
